Stumbled on an HP page devoted to HP's social activities in New England.

I have to wonder just how much of a presence HP had in new england prior
to it inheriting Digital through the purchase of Compaq.


The last vestiges of Digital is probably going to disapear not before
long. I think the closure of ZKO last year started a process that will
put the final nail in the "Digital Equipment Corporation" coffin.

Throughout the compaq and HP purchases, we still had our DEC operating
under some other name. We had our own Sue, we had our well known
engineers, we had the familiar DEC sites, still known with their DEC 3
letter codes.

I've come to realise that there is really nothing left of DEC now.
