[Info-vax] Android support for IPsec (Was Re: IPSec - Dear God in heaven NO!)

Hi,

Just came across this press release dated yesterday about Android IPsec
support: -
http://www.net-security.org/secworld.php?id=7257

Didn't seem to take them too long, did it? If only those fools knew what
Baldrick McQuaid and her advisers knew, they'd be spending their (probably
*our*) money on an RTR port to Android instead :-(

[Is it really only me that has a problem with the chances of Google Chrome
being ported to VMS being somewhat greater than getting someone to finish
IPsec for TCP/IP Services?]

Anyway the goodish news is: -
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
At this point, IPSEC requires additional customer feedback. Customers are
requested to send email to [name] so he can further develop the business
case.

BTW, delivery of IPSEC also provides host-based firewall capability, which
is another important feature that would also be delayed if IPSEC is further
delayed.
<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<

If I get the ok to publish [name] I'll let you know, otherwise Ian Miller
suggested this link: -
http://h71000.www7.hp.com/fb_business.html
but I have yet to receive a reply on that one or the feedback page at: -
http://h71000.www7.hp.com/openvms/products/ipsec/

Please start putting pen-to-paper over this! The code is pretty much there;
please help push it over the line, and help me help you.

Cheers Richard Maher

PS. But as I've said before, more than enough customer demand for RTR/Linux
and WSIT 3.0 and not 1 or 2 or 3 but *FOUR* webbrowsers for VMS: -
http://h71000.www7.hp.com/ebusiness/technology.html Full steam ahead you're
all doing very well :-(
