Aargh, don't get me started. Boxer never met a dollar of mine she
didn't want to spend, and I would gladly replace her with a moderate
of either party, although, the way things work here, it would have to
be a Republican since no Democrat could ever unseat her. Except, the
_other_ way things work here is that the moderate Republicans never
survive the primaries, and so time and time again the choice has been
between the far left, and the far right, neither one of which is the
least bit appealing. I still cringe thinking about the Boxer vs.
Herschensohn race - a metaphorical armada of trucks could have been
driven through the political space between those two.
In this case I don't know, or particularly care, what Fiorina's
political positions are. Given her track record with companies I am
loathe to offer her the opportunity to work her "special kind of
magic" on the population of my state. That said, if it comes down to
Boxer vs. Fiorina I could not possibly vote for either one, and would
probably end up doing what I usually do for that seat, voting for the
Green candidate, who is usually closer to the center than is the
candidate of either of the major parties.
