It was fiction.  based on a book where the original author went to the
trouble to include a section in the beginning where he had a number of
experts in the field explain why it could not happen as described in
the book.  As usual, the book was much better than the movie, but then,
the book didn't have a political agenda behind it as does anything done
by Hanoi Jane.
