I think the OOP was talking about SIMH on windoze. For OSX (and, btw, 
for windoze too) I use ZOC, which is not free but is not expensive (and 
I've been using it since the OS/2 era ;)).

Anyway, using the usual VMS apps and tools in a mac keyboard, specially 
in a laptop keyboard, is WEIRD. By default (on ZOC), PF1 (GOLD) is 
mapped to F1, PF2 to F2, and so on. With a real LK keyboard my fingers 
"know" how to move inside EDT, but on my mac... well, it is like 
re-learning to walk ;)
