This ES40 works and works very well, at least to my purposes.  I only 
use my PWS500 to develop open-source software and would gladly use the 
opportunity to save the power and noise by moving my development to an 
emulated Alpha running on my Linux system(s).  However I hesitate to 
make the move considering the restrictions, not so much of the 
thirty-day reboot, as (what appears to be) the annual uncertainty of 
whether the current NCE program will be continued by Stromasys.
