I agree that the article didn't sound negative, but it was aimed at
the current (dwindling) customer base, which makes sense based on the
Alpha migration title.  I very much doubt that our friends at Gartner
will suggest or recommend that new customers take a ride on the VMS
train.  Have they ever?  I don't know.  I've never followed the Armani
suit crowd, as Terry Shannon used to call them.
