Given the number laid off and the skill level those being laid off
had, that would not be an incorrect perception or an isolated one.
Industry wide the perception is that HP is becoming a bottom feeder
like that EDS company they consumed a while back. I find it difficult
to believe HP can say with pride that they now own the absolute bottom
of the consulting industry.
