Today was the first days of the two TUDs in Stockholm
24-25 Sept 2009. Just a few notes I made during the day....
Copies of the PP files will be made available "a few days"
after the TUDs.

* VMS Strategy and Roadmap.
- FT of 8.4 from Nov to early 2010.
- Tukwilla support as a hardware-patch to 8.4.
- Current and new dev goes into "v.next".
- The freeware program is undergoing changes.
New download server and upload is investigated.
- IPsec comes during 2010.
* Clusers over IP.
- Just some tech-talk about the implementation...
* VMS on C-class blades.
- More or less the same presentation that have been
runed for the last couple of years.
* VMS Integrity migration.
- A lot was the same points as has been presentet earlier.
- Some new customer cases was described.
* VMS DT update
- 6 memb shadowset in 8.4 was decided on to support
3-way wide long distance cluster configs with 2
shadowed volues per site.
* VMS as "guest" in HPVM.
- To me it looked very much as earlier presentations.
* Ext Auth on VMS
- Described LDAP and Kerberos authentication.
- Described how to setup ACME.
- POP and IMAP services will get support for ACME.
- SWS was asked about, and that would be added to the list
of applications to be evaluated for ACME support.
- Mapping of LDAP/Kerberos users to VMS user (today one need
a one-to-one mapping using the same user on VMS as in the
external directory) will be in V8.4.
- Multiple LDAP servers (today only one can be configured)
in V8.4.
* Open Source components.
- Again mentioned the new freeware efforts.
- Multiple slides around gSOAP.
That was todays points...
Tomorrow comes :
- Compilers and software development.
- Storage backup and Storage Management.
- Oracle Rdb and Oracle "classic" databases update.
- Itanium update (by someone from Intel).
