As I understood it (there was an Intel guy at the TUD today) the
processor is more or less frozen today and is currently undergoing
regression testing. Now, I guess that the Tukwila support will not
be available in VMS before there are actual servers available to
custumer to run it (VMS) on.
Today was the last points in the TUD.
Compilers and other dev.tools.
- List of current and next version for each compiler.
- Current and next version of DECset.
Storage, backup and management.
- A lot of products and product numbers flew by... :-)
- Continued dev of ABS and other storage products.
Oracle and Oracle Rdb.
- Not much "new".
- Continued support of both databases.
- Oracle has reorganized to better support VMS.
One group responsible for both databases.
Current focus is the VMS release of Oracle 11g R2.
Intel/Itanium.
- Short summary of the current Itanium bussines.
"Healthy and growing" was the message...
