Not a windows apologist, but by the time they got all the service packs 
sorted out and bug free drivers, NT 4 was quite robust and would run 
essentially for ever. I only moved from Nt 4 for one of my software dev 
boxes because some apps needed w2k minimum. Not for any reliability issues.

Would have liked to see the NT sources. It was the first windows os that 
could be considered for serious work, even if a little ragged to start 
with...
