One suggestion I told another hobbyist.
You could try to find a BA353 (storage box with three slots which looks
like a pizza box) with a CD-ROM and then a HSD05 (DSSI-to-SCSI
controller) on Ebay. That should cost you maybe less that $50. Then hook
the the HSD05 to your MicroVAX 3400 DSSI bus. Do some configuration on
the MV 3400 and voila, you are ready to install VMS V7.3 from a CD.
