[Info-vax] Looking to find a way to pull all the Open Source / Freeware folks together

I agree. I have mentioned this in my blogs as well. I believe this is a
good start but it needs more exposure and more information. There are many
packages that are not here but scattered around and we need to collect the
information.
Earlier in the thread there was a suggestion by Jouk Jansen about having an
inventory or digest of all the sites that have applications and code
descriptions. This too would be good.
There was also a mention about the information from the TUD and the work
being done by the Office of OpenVMS Programs. I am in contact with them and
they are looking for input. They are also expecting any program they put
together will have the active involvement of the OpenVMS Community. So, if
there are things you want or think should be done regarding Open Source and
OpenVMS speak up.
