The list of highly competent engineers at DEC is a long one. 
Unfortunately the bean counters apparently gained control too late.  I 
once saw a catalog listing fifteen or twenty different models of a disk 
drive; they were *identical* except for the mounting hardware. 
"StorageWorks" came a little too late.
