I learned quickly, but I didn't appreciate the "rude" comment before I even
KNEW what the "customs" were.

Even in my current (non-IT) job, it took me a while to get used to the "custom"
of posting the answer to a query in the "SUBJECT" line of the email reply.

Once again, I was treated as if I came from another planet.  And no, I
don't follow custom anymore - I stand up for myself, and respond rudely to
rudeness.  Some folks have actually caught on, and have begun to interact with
me in a civilized manner.  Hope springs eternal...
