As always, this Porsche analogy is quite a stretch.
First, Porsche is no more as an independent entity.
(OK, that's a bit like DEC being swallowed by a bigger one).
But second, staying with cars, I'd rather use some obsolete
car with limited usefulness these days, 
maybe a Borgward or even an East German Trabant.
Or how about a car with strange innards, possibly a Wankel engine?
