John/Brett,
A few days ago we were given a preliminary documentation (including a
WSDL) by the corporately-hired contractors working in Montreal (they
will be using Windows Server 2003). Today I was able to run the WSDL
through your WSDL2H tool then generate the necessary boilerplate. I
also cobbled together a simple gSOAP service written in "C". The
contractor-supplied documentation contained example SOAP messages
which I was able to cut-n-paste into a second app for transmitting
test cases to our local gSOAP service. Everything seems to work (at
least as far as I can tell so far) from DCL as well as Apache (via
mod_gsoap)
We won't have the final spec for a few more weeks (this project isn't
expected to go-live until October) but at least we know a gSOAP
solution is possible.
Thanks for this. You really saved my bacon.
