Hi Len,
It's probably the usual source - large, non-stream files in the share
directory (on an ODS-2 volume). In some cases CIFS has to read the entire
file just to determine the "Windows" size. If you have v1.2, much of the
gory details are in the admin guide (chapter 12), including how to improve
performance.
If that aint it, can you provide some specifics like version, what
operations you're attempting, etc.?
