[Info-vax] SAMBA really sloooow on OVMS Integrity. Any Ideas????

Hi Len,

Slow writes are typically due to the disk volume having highwater marking 
enabled ($ show dev/full).   When Windows creates a file it forces the 
server to allocate the entire disk space (to ensure sufficient space is 
available)before the client starts writing, which is why you see such a long 
delay at the beginning.

To disable highwater marking;

$ set volume/nohighwater <dev>:

but it won't take effect until the disk is next mounted...
