Yup.  Same sort of think annoys me on Linux.  'ps -aeux' produces long
lines in some cases but the ends disappear off the screen.  Now, pipe 
that into 'more' and the stuff wraps.  I understand your frustration in
the mail; fortunately, I don't often see is as most of the email I have
seem to keep the subject short.  I also default to 132 characters wide.
