I was aware of problems with the HP LaserJet P2055 printer after the 
release of DCPS V2.7, before the responsibility for DCPS moved to 
India, but too late to either work on a fix or advocate for a printer 
firmware fix.

I consider the lack of a MediaType entry in the InputAttributes 
dictionary a printer bug, but since printing from other non-OpenVMS 
environments is probably not affected, HP may see it differently.

Printers these days, from various manufacturers, sometimes are missing 
some PostScript features on which DCPS relies.  This printer is one of 
them.  Sometimes I could change DCPS to adjust to the real world, 
sometimes I could get the HP printer group to change firmware, but 
sometimes neither could be done.

I've replied to Alan privately and will need to chew on this a bit more 
before possibly giving some advice.
