I changed the limit of simultaneous incoming FTP connections (TCPIP>
set service ftp/limit=255) but when a large number of connections
arise in a very short period of time, the TCPIP$FTP_1 process dies
with
%SYSTEM-F-EXITFORCED, forced exit of image or process by SYS$DELPRC
as a final status in the accounting and
%SYSTEM-F-EXBYTLM, exceeded byte count quota
%TCPIP-E-FTP_ACPTCN, accepting connection failed
in [TCPIP$FTP]TCPIP$FTP_RUN.LOG
I changed Bytlm in the UAF accordingly but have no heuristic to
compute the _right_ value.
BTW, I think I may also have to increase other quota such as Fillm,
Astlm or Biolm (# of termination mailboxes between the listener and
the ftp chidren, pending IO/AST with these mailboxes, maybe BG
devices)
do you know any rule of thumb on what to change in the UAF when the /
limit=xxx increase ?
