Yes it has been ported, but the disadvantage of relying on java if I
dont remember wrong.
So Fortran<->JNI/Java<->Active MQ<->JNI/Java<->VB is as what I think
will be the case.... we when testing this go a C step in there also,
just because I dont know fortran/java directly and would have done teh
same on the other end (didnt, client was java.) but then it would be
Fortran<->C<->JNI/Java<->Active MQ<->JNI/Java<->C<->VB
But, that using what we already had in fortran and C knowledge as we
where playing around..
And it was not with AMQ, but another product, not OS.

Raw socket is always nice, if you can stand it ;)
