OK. I have ECO 2 installed but let me ask this: what happens when/if you
are connected to a remote how and do the same 'cd<tab>'?
Other sftp clients (at least, on my OS X, Ubuntu and Debian systems) will
not give you a prompt like on VMS. They expect to be connected to a host
before offering the sftp> prompt.
