You might be able to get an energy efficient grant for it. You can pitch
it as a "highly sophisticated computer controlled high efficiency home
heating device".

Mr VAXman would have to hack his way to perform variable fan speed
control (this is something govts look for when determining efficiency of
a furnace).

And when it is really cold outside, he would have to run ALL-IN-1 on all
CPUs to ensure they are at 100% use to produce more heat :-)

In the summer, he would have to make sure all processes are in HIB
status to help keep teh house cool :-)
