You trying to provoke an argument Alan? Or just rhyme :) :) :)
The one attached to my 4000 at work is still going strong and (touch
wood) doing sterling service. I prefer it to any other mouse I've ever
used. Never caused me any pain, unlike the typical ones attached to my
PC at work. OTOH I don't spend as much time with my hand on the mouse
when VMSing as I do when WINdozing :)
Oddly enough, I used one in anger for the first time (1992) with a
Compaq PC when using GEM presentation s/w to draw lots of pictures and
charts. I liked the fact that the pointer was in the 'middle of the
mouse'. Just grasped it between thumb and little finger without
cramping the hand. The contra-rotating wheels, as opposed to the ball,
seemed to make it more reliable too.
Pros and cons I suppose.
Just to put in contxt; I prefer LK201 keyboards too ! BOF moi? Indeed
so.
