Technically, this site was not in the World Trade Center itself but in
the nearby World Financial Center building. See
http://h71000.www7.hp.com/openvms/brochures/commerzbank/commerzbank.pdf
for details.
There were an estimated 7-9 OpenVMS disaster-tolerant clusters which did
have datacenters located within the World Trade Center, and we were told
all survived the loss of their WTC datacenters except for one: it had
one datacenter in Tower 1 and the other datacenter in Tower 2;
presumably they had to recover from backups and move to their DR site,
since both datacenters would have been destroyed within a short period
of time.
