Either way, I don't have a bare-metal Alpha system here to try it on.
All I have are VAX and Integrity, and I only have cabling for the VAX.

So I got out my screwdriver and opened the case. Without actually
removing the loader/drive from the case, I was able to see that the JCB
is an "". This is written prominently in several places. In another
place it also says "DCC-SCSI" (Direct Cable Connection?)

Anyway, Google comes up with 0 hits for "LMJB0178A", but when I remove
the closing "A" it comes up with this:

These are taken from Sun documentation. Apparently, Sun sold the same
autoloader as SC2000.

The first is the SC2000 DDS-1 autoloader and the second is the SC2000
DDS-2 autoloader. Based on the PCB diagrams, I was able to ascertain
that my unit is a DDS-1 autoloader, not DDS-2. Mystery solved.

The documentation specifically mentions that it takes 90 meter tapes and
it does compression. So it must be a TLZ06, not a TLZ07.

Thanks, John Wallace!
