It is the logical diskdriver for VMS. It allows you to mount files as
disks, or as tapes for that matter.
It is shipped with VMS, for newer versions see www.digiater.nl.
I copied all the freeware cd's on Tru64 to a single file with the dd
command.
The outputfile of dd is then copied to a VMS disk and mounted on an
LDAn device.
So each cd is seen as a seperate disk.Before that I used backup to
transfer all files from a cd to a
directory on a harddidsk.Took more time.
