[Info-vax] GCC 2.8.1 for OpenVMS VAX

Perhaps I'm missing something but here's what worked for me just now.

Start at http://gcc.gnu.org then follow the rhs link labelled Mirror
Sites. On the mirrors page, pick one you like the look of. I picked
one whose name may be familiar round here; their copy of gcc is at:
ftp://ftp.mirrorservice.org/sites/sourceware.org/pub/gcc/

Once there, click on old-releases, and then gcc-2. Then the
gcc-2.8.1.tar.bz2 link should take you to

ftp://ftp.mirrorservice.org/sites/sourceware.org/pub/gcc/old-releases/gcc-2/gcc-2.8.1.tar.bz2

and subject to all the usual caveats, that should hopefully be what
you need?  I didn't try actually building it, I just checked it had a
suitable-for-VMS .COM in the tarball, and then assumed it would build
OK.
