If I understand things correctly, the name of the primary page file is
SYS$SYSTEM:PAGEFILE.DAT and is referred to by the name PAGEFILE1_NAME in
MODPARAMS.DAT (similar for the swap file here and elsewhere). If
PAGEFILE1_SIZE is set to 0 in MODPARAMS.DAT, then AUTOGEN should leave
it alone (i.e. leave the size of the file as it is), right?
What about if TESTFILES is specified? Of course, TESTFILES doesn't
actually change anything, but the purpose of it is to see what AUTOGEN
would do if SETPARAMS were specified as the end phase.
I have PAGEFILE1_SIZE=0 in MODPARAMS.DAT yet AUTOGEN with TESTFILES as
the end phase suggests resizing it. If I specify SAVPARAMS rather than
TESTFILES, will it leave it alone? (I don't want to try this out since
I don't want to create any unnecessary files; also, I would expect the
numbers which come out of TESTFILES to be the same as those that come
out of SETPARAMS, just with nothing happening in the former case.)
