Here's my somewhat belated response --
It depends ....
Almost all the machines I use with DECterm are running MultiNet. So I use
the Multinet FONTSERVER service and (on my Mac) use 'xset fp+ tcp/host:7000'
to access the fonts. This will work with any Windows X11 server which
allows you to specify a font server for it.
