p.s. as an IT person who has a unionized job in Canada, I can tell you
that my current contract is the only reason my job isn't over there
already (not sure what will happen to my job when I retire; the CEP
isn't that strong). My employer has already out-sourced a huge number
of non-unionized jobs to India.
