No, because my DS20E is not part of a cluster.
You're on VMS 7.3-2, I can't remember when clusterwide logical names
were introduced but would
a somewhat more recent version of VMS not be an option?
V7.3-2 is/was a stable VMS release but IMVHO V8.3 certainly is stable
too. No idea though whether
8.3 would have solved/prevented this.
Any patches applied to VMS?
