Yes, but Keith points out that by using a logical you can (automatically)
switch if a node is not booted in the cluster, or if you want it to use
a local or node-specific variation.
When building a common disk, I chose to put these files in a directory
on a common disk pointed to by a logical, and of course pointing this
logical to another directory (on the system disk for instance) could
give me temporarily a private copy. When doing a rolling upgrade, this can
be convenient.
