I actually did this once, several years ago.  Back then, I didn't have 
enough disk space where I would normally put it, so put it on a local 
disk on a satellite which I am not using at the moment.  I just needed 
it for one application and it seemed a bit much (I later found a simpler 
solution).

Maybe I should check it out again, now that I have more disk space.
