What timezone is your 7PM ? Unix's time origin ("the epoch") is
00:00:00 UTC on 1 Jan 1970. This is commonly represented internally as
32 or 64 bits of zeroes. If your timezone was 5 hours behind UTC time
(commonly referred to as 5 hours behind GMT), can you guess what the
result would be?
Might just be coincidence, and doesn't really get you anywhere, but
might provoke further thoughts.
Examples are always helpful. In particular, real, cut/paste examples,
e.g. some actual commands with some actual outputs, rather than your
descriptions of what you thought you did and what you thought you saw,
leaving readers to fill in the gaps (as per https://discussions.apple.com/thread/3206496).
Good luck.
