First of all thanks for your post and good to see you're still issuing
hobby-licenses!

But:
$ gzip -d getmac.exe-gz
$ dir getmac

Directory SYS$SYSROOT:[SYSMGR]

getmac.exe;1

Total of 1 file.
$ run getmac.exe
%LICENSE-F-NOLICENSE, no license is active for this software product
$

my LICs have already expired and AFAICS the same holds for the task of
one installing the compiler the first time.
Hen and egg come to mind :-)
