OK, So Apotheker wants to build a clone of SAP, get HP to buy/develop a
suite of enterprise applications/software.

But can he do this without a database engine ? Or will all development
efforts be focused on x86/linux ?

His recipe for going enterprise applications is not yet complete. We'll
have to wait for some clarification on database engine and what OS will
HP focus on.
