By the way, does it use the hardware MAC address, or the
actual MAC address.  When running DECnet, the MAC address is
assigned based on the DECnet address, and not the one in ROM.

The ethernet standard allows for this, though most other protocols
don't do it.  

Now, how many will run PL/I on a DECnet host, I don't know.
