Does anyone else remember the VAX Magic Sesssion at a DECUS convention, in
the 80s, where a contestant for best story merely took the stage, and,
without saying a word, proceeded to beat a TK50 drive to pieces with a
hammer? As I recall, he got a standing ovation. Unreliable tape drives
inspire that sort of devotion in their users.
