When Pfeiffer/Compaq got Digital, it appears he canned the porting of
Digical Unix to IA64 since he wanted a renewed focus on Alpha and
started the porting of NSK to Alpha.

So perhaps the Palmer project to port Unix to IA64 was still at early
stages.
