This may be deemed off-topic, but there's nowhere else where I
can bring this up. (I apologize for inquiring about this like
this, I normally don't do this.)

This concerns Jim McCarthy, a fellow OpenVMS Hobbyist from the
USA. I and others have become quite worried over time. I used
to fairly regularly correspond with him. (See a website of his,
here: <http://216.103.52.91:8000/data2/computers.htm>).

He was very kind to send me three PC2100 ECC-reg. DIMMs not very
long ago (over half a year, at least, by now) which he did not
use and kept as spares, for me to test if they'd work. He told
he didn't need anything for it in return. He told me that 'if
I wanted to give him something [in return]' for it, that it'd be
'my call' to come up with something that I'd think would be fair
(i.e. a fair price), if these DIMMs would turn out to work.

Anyway, ever since (and I've been trying to contact him), I
couldn't reach him anymore! The DIMMs unfortunately didn't work
for me, but I wanted to *at least* compensate him for the shipping
expenses.

The reason I'm particularly worried, is that I and others have
also tried to reach him, but haven't heard of him ever again.
I really hope he's alright. Can anyone verify this perhaps, are
there people acquainted with him here?

  - MG
