[Info-vax] Python pseudo terminal (ptd)

I'm looking to setup an application using a pseudo terminal to script
commands to an interactive application.  (Yes, It's IDX/Centricity).
Lacking any compilers I've started to look into the Python that I
installed and have used very little, really just to get Mercurial
going.  The simplest of examples that I've found (VMSPTDExample) works
but it just does a "show system".

If anyone has a more comprehensive example that they can share, I
would be very grateful.
