I keep a silicon glove (originally, it was sold as an oven mitt) in the
car and don it when I need to pump my own gas.  Born and raised in PA,
I grew up pumping my own.  I'd never seen a service station attendant
until I started college in the proNJ.  It's even easier now with those
pumps which accept credit/debit cards.  Dunk the card in the slot and
start pumping.  I don't have to sit there idling away both my gas and
my time waiting for one of the proNJ's educational system's pride and
joy to come up to my window.
