You would make a good politician (no offence intended !)

Last week, media discovered that federal government offices in Québec
were told that christmas decorations were banned. This made a brouhaha
in the House of Commons (federal level).

It was very interesting to see the federal government always saying
"there was no *national* directive to ban christmas decorations in
federal govt offices".

And they were correct, there was no *national* directive. The federal
govt issued a directive that applied only to one province :-) They
quickly realised they had gotten enough egg on face and a memo was sent
to québec offices the same day lifting the ban on decorations.

So, Mr Brooks, I am sure you are technically correct to state that there
was never a formal project to port VMS to the 8086, and there no
engineers were formally tasked to investigate it. And there would not be
any paper trail of this.

So your secret is safe with us...

So, pray tell, how far did you guys get in the secret undocumented
covert port in the basement of ZKO ? Was it done with BIOS or EFI based
x86s ? Did you get as far as the DIRECTORY command ?

:-)
