The US governemnt controls a lot of business through laws, regulations,
and tax breaks. Many business owners find the laws and regulations
is to be a burden. But the US doesn't control anywhere near all business
activities like a socialist country does.

The US wants it's loan money back from GM and Chrysler, but it
doesn't tell them to make 5000 each Trabants in pale blue. It
doesn't tell windshield wiper manufacturers to produce exactly 10000
wipers for those 5000 Trabants, forgetting that they wear out and
there is a replacement market. The US doesn't tell wharehouse
modernisation folks that there has to be one employee in the
wharehouse for every 2000 square feet of floor space. They don't tell
cooking oil makers to ship oil to stores in barrels.

You want to make some claims about the US being a socialist county,
you should first take a long listen to someone who has actually
   lived in a socialist country.
