It eventually loaded, but I hope that the quality of the web site is
not a reflection of the actual 'app'...  (If there should actually
be one, if this isn't a 'hoax' or whatever.)

Sure.  But, at the moment, there's nothing yet.

It'd be nice if iSSH could somehow get an Android port, or maybe even
just the X server part.  It's very mature and solid software, too.

The only bug I remember running into with iSSH, were some display
refresh errors; sometimes after the display had entered the 'sleep'
mode.  The terminal emulation parts of it are 'based' on PuTTY any-
way (from what I remember reading).
