   What, exactly, does "aliases name" or "aliasing" mean to
you?  It might help if you explained exactly what you wish to
do.

   "OpenVMS machine" is not a very detailed description of
anything.  Knowing the VMS version and hardware type might be
helpful, too.

      write sys$output f$getsyi( "version")
      write sys$output f$getsyi( "arch_name")
      write sys$output f$getsyi( "hw_name")
