Not half as bad as the DC area. When it comes to driving in snow,
everybody down here is a southerner. It's not unusual to be passed
by someone in a pickup jacked up to the heavens running full speed
down the highway with on big wheels. You're glad they passed you
because you know they can't stop.
When I was in NJ, the turnpike authority sent its plow drivers to
Iowa to learn how to plow snow. As a result, you could not only drive
from one exit to another, you could actually get off and on.
Many times I drove up highway 18 through East Brunswick, only to have
all the jughandles and cross streets blocked by banks of snow put
there by the snowplows.
